Summary: Sailors' Children's Society provides assistance to children of British seafarers from Merchant Navy, Royal Navy and Fishing Fleet families. We give financial grants for everyday children's living as well as clothing grants .We also offer each of the families tickets to local tourist attractions and Christmas pantomimes. Our aim is to let children be children throughout difficult times including bereavement, separation or illness and the team are always available to provide a listening ear and signposting/emotional support where necessary.
Note/Restrictions: Applicants should be families of British seafarers, with children under the age of 18 years and in receipt of a means tested benefit. Formally known as the Sailors' Families' Society.
